Twitter is a social networking and micro-blogging site which launched in 2006. Users post and interact with messages known ‘tweets’, using hashtags.
The value of Twitter is multi-fold and its use is varied – whether as an educational tool or for business marketing. It’s an efficient way to follow breaking news, access resources, track trends, and network.
First and foremost though Twitter is used to connect people with the same interests, who share their views. It’s a communication gateway where you can receive in-the-moment updates on all the things that interest you. Twitter is certainly the chattiest of today’s social media platforms.
